YOUR PLAYLIST ON ONE GOSPEL

On the of 20th of September 2011, I was on my way to Swaziland..it was a business trip, when I received an email from the Your Playlist team on One Gospel. They were asking if I was available to co-present the show with Carly Fields (also former Yo-Tv presenter) for an hour as per my request. I was already on the road and turning back was not an option. I proceeded with the trip, but cut it short instead. So, I came back in time to get ready for the show, read my script and chose my selection of songs that I wanted to be played on the show.
Came the 26th of September, the day for shooting. I was read, excited and nervous at the same time. My script was long and even though I was allowed to read it during the show, I tried to memorise it all because I wanted to be more professional. There were shout outs and dedications by viewers from text messages, emails, facebook and the website...yah..it was a bit intense.

After I had my make-up done (I look gorgeous right
Everything was fun and games until they finished doing my make up, it got serious and my heart was beating so fast that at some point I thought it was going to jump out of my mouth. I guess it was the thought of the camera in my face for a whole hour. It had always been seconds then focus on something else., but this time it was all about me.

So I did the 2 things that always calm me down, I prayed and sent one of my 2 best friends  (whom I also manage as a DJ) a text. I sent him a picture of my myself after they had done my make-up and he made fun of me. Some people my ask how that would calm me down, but that's his remedy...he made me laugh so hard that I forgot I was nervous and focused on what was important.

Carly Fields and I after the show

Within minutes, it was Lights, Camera, Action and there was no looking back. But I was awesome if  I may say so myself and this is one experience I will never forget, ill be forever grateful. I am the pro that I am today, because of this experience. Carly was such a sweet heart. Even though I went straight home after the show, I didnt wash my make-up off till bedtime..hahahaha!!!

I know for a fact that I'm not lost, TV is exactly where I need to be!!!!
