Gemstones Nail Bar (GNB) Launch

8 months later… After all the braining storming, planning, travelling, advertising, putting things together, crying, sweat and tears, changing locations, disappointment and some joy….the day finally came when Gemstones was to no longer be just a dream but a reality. The amount of work that went into this project still gives me shivers I promise. Just seeing it all come together was so overwhelming, but still an amazing feeling.

Planning for the launch itself was just another experience, one I will remember for ever and always, all the good and bad. The night before the launch I literally slept on the couch at the store, it was as though there was still so much to do. Nevertheless it happened, the launch was an incredible success, I thank God for giving me the strength to do all that I did.

A big shout out to all our friends and family who came through to get their nails done and to share in this moment. A shout out to the nail technicians (Gcebile, Ndumy and Bongi). A bigger shout out to my cupcake Delsie who came all the way from Durban to do her nails and to be of support.
An even bigger shout out to my hubby (I love you baby) and my partner in crime Nokwanda Simelane (this is only the beginning ne chomi).

WITS SWAZI PARTY/SOCIAL

After I had vowed that I wouldn do this again aSince the FAREWELL PARTY was a good show, Mpho Maziya, the chairlady of the Swaziland Student Association (SSA) and Bello Esempio came together again the following weekend to host an intimate party for the Swazi students at Wits University on Friday and a soccer social on Saturday. Both days were hectic, but good. We did what did best yet once again, we had meat and alcohol on both daysfter HIPNOTIK, here I was at the braai stand roasting some chicken. I was smelling of smoke and burning from the fire, atleast it wasn as cold though. Yea we did it yet once again….we created another crazy and successful weekend. But for real this time….if I don’t see another braai stand and chicken again, it will be too soon. I don’t even wanna see a live chicken just passing by….lol  #ImJustSayin

The Farewell… #TheSendOff

It was back to school, so The Swaziland Student Association (SSA) and Bello Esempio came together to give the Swazi students studying in South Africa a reason to party one last time in Swaziland before all the drama and hard work of school began. The planning stages were hectic just as planning for any other event, but the final product was awesome. I can’t say that all of our goals were reached, but I can confidently say it was a well-planned gig.

I wasn playing games ke, I was at the door collecting all the money…lol. Yea, we can play with all other things, not with money. I was the “beautiful, sexy bouncer”.

That was fun……and now on to the next one.

Bello Esempio @ Hipnotik 2014

Bello Esempio Promo Girls

Swazi Jive has done it yet once Hipnotik which is only the bet again. They have brought HIP HOP festival in the whole of Swaziland with performances by Reason, AKA, Da Les, Casper Nyoves, Kwesta, DJ Tendaness just to name a few.

Bello Esempio was there too, we were there as one of the 6 food stall owners. It was a fun, tiring experience. In the end we reached our goals with our pap, rolls, chakalaka and chicken dust. Our stall was buzzing with hungry hip hop lovers who couldnt get enough of our chicken dust. I don’t know what my cousin Banele put in that chicken, but whatever it is, it worked. As fun as it was…..eish, I cant say if wanna do this again next year…..lol

Gemstones Project - Assembling The Furniture

After trying to rest, it was back to work. So I gathered some people and we started assembling the furniture and making the parlour look amazing. It was no easy task I tell you, especially because we were involved with all the manual work, picking up heavy objects, mounting and hammering pictures and mirrors on the walls etc

We spent almost a week on this place and in that week this was t
We spent almost a week on this place and in that week this was temporarily my home away from home. I spent almost all my hours in here trying to get this place ready. It felt so good to see it come to life and to see what the almost final product looked like. There is still tons of work to done, but here is a sneak preview.

Gemstones Project - The Work Begin

The first step here was buying all the furniture and products. We spent 2 weeks shopping and as a woman I never imagined I would get tired from shopping, But then again im no ordinary woman..lol. after all the shopping was done, it was hitting the road to Swazilad where the real fun and work began.

Before we started with the shopping we had found a location which we loved so much and were excited to start working on.

Beautiful isnt it? Wasnt for long though, because after offloading all the furniture the place was a complete mess. I have to say, I didn imagine that we would create any magic and even better yet on time.

We were tired from the travelling and offloading plus there was still lots of work to be done as the days went by, so we called it a night, but the excitement was still on point nevertheless.
